Frequently Asked Questions

GENERAL QUESTIONS

What is the  dentist Adventure Academy?

The Dentist Adventure Academy was created by Overland Dentist Adventure Company to introduce and educate new dentist members on guided off-roading skills with a 4x4 vehicle, and provide group adventure trips to scenic destinations via off-road driving. The Dentist Adventure Academy will be conducted with highly experienced off-road and overland instructors and guides from the team at Overland Dentist Adventure Company. Small class sizes and guided overnight trips will ensure that every participant will get individual attention and walk away from each day with skills they could not learn elsewhere from true experts in the field. Dentists will develop skills in areas such as:

  • Trail etiquette basics
  • How to properly setup a 4x4 vehicle before venturing off-road
  • How to safely attempt obstacles
  • Locating and connecting with our adventure dentist community
  • Question & answer sessions with experts – eliminate the unknown
  • Provide life coaching
  • Guide dentist groups on overland adventures teaching them all aspects of camp set up, hiking, equipment, and nature photography

Who can I bring?

New for 2023! You may bring as many passengers as you have seatbelts in your Jeep®! NOTE: All passengers must be registered no less than 30-days prior to your trip date – no exceptions. Unregistered passengers will be turned away on-site.

There is no age requirement for passengers. However, this is a training event involving a combination of classroom-style and on-trail instruction. The driver’s focus is required at all times, so this event may not be suitable for children under 5.

Bringing pets is strongly discouraged. If your pet must attend, you must submit a pet waiver prior to the event. Click here for pet waiver.

Will I be the only off-road rookie?

No! We expect more than 50% of attendees to be “first-timers.” The Jeep® Adventure Academy provides entry level off-road education and instruction to build confidence and a solid foundation of off-roading skills for all participants.

What’s a typical event schedule?

Please reference individual trip pages as schedules vary per location.

In addition to your Jeep® 4×4, we highly recommend bringing:

  • Snacks

  • A portable chair for each passenger to enjoy lunch around your Jeep®’s tailgate.

NOTE: ALCOHOLIC BEVERAGES ARE NOT PERMITTED ON ANY TRAIL RIDE! Violators will be removed without a refund and banned from all future Jeep® Adventure Academy events.
